CALL FOR PAPERS

For the 27th consecutive year a Colloquium for Doctoral Students in Accounting will be organised in conjunction with the Annual Congress of the European Accounting Association. The 2011 Colloquium will take place on April 16-19 just before the EAA Annual Congress.

The event will start on Saturday evening April 16, and will finish on Tuesday April 19 at lunchtime. All participating students are also required to attend the EAA Congress that will commence on Wednesday April 20, 2011.

The Colloquium aims to provide an opportunity for European doctoral students in accounting to discuss their research and work in progress with a distinguished international faculty. Overviews of the current state of the accounting research will also be included in the programme of the Colloquium, as will social events which will provide an opportunity for students to interact informally both with each other and the faculty.

The core faculty proposed for the Colloquium will be composed of leading researchers in the field.

Students selected to participate in the Colloquium will be offered hotel accommodation for the duration of the Colloquium (Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings). Moreover, they will not have to pay the registration fee for the Congress of the European Accounting Association that will be held immediately after the Colloquium on April 20-22, 2011 (the latter is courtesy of the Congress organisers). Participants are expected to meet their own travel costs and accommodation expenses for the duration of the Congress (Tuesday through Friday).

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible and certainly no later than November 15, 2010.

Applications should be submitted online and must be accompanied by a one-page C.V., a maximum 3-page abstract of the doctoral research currently being undertaken, and a questionnaire to be filled in by the main thesis advisor. You must use this template to that end - download template. Students accepted for the Colloquium will be required to prepare a short paper for presentation at the meeting.

The organising Institutions, i.e. the European Accounting Association (EAA) and the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM), attach considerable importance to the Doctoral Colloquium. Not only does it provide a way of stimulating sound doctoral research, but it also enhances the network of cross-national contacts between younger accounting researchers, and between researchers and practitioners.

THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS BEEN REACHED (November 15).
IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO SUBMIT.
