CALL FOR PAPERS

The 7th EIASM workshop on ’International Strategy and Cross-cultural Management” will be hosted by the Helsinki School of Economics in Finland.

The workshop invites conceptual and empirical papers in the fields of International Strategy and Cross-cultural Management. Workshop papers by senior and junior scholars as well as PhD students can be submitted to either one of these tracks. However, we are particularly interested in papers that seek to integrate both fields. The submitted papers will be divided into several more specific tracks based on their common themes. The tracks will be chaired by Professor Carr, Dr Pudelko, Dr Reiche and Professor Piekkari.

This great opportunity should be a clear incentive to submit papers of outstanding quality. Papers should be about 4-5000 words in length.

TOURIST INFORMATION

Helsinki offers the visitor a surprising number of different attractions to visit such as the Temppeliaukio Church, the Finlandia Hall, designed by the famous architect Alvar Aalto, or the huge outdoor market alongside Helsinki harbor. Reminders of the Czars' influence are found throughout Helsinki, from the Russian Orthodox Cathedral and the Senate Square to the fortress on Suomenlinna Island. Enjoy Helsinki's best sights from a sightseeing bus or by taking the tram 3T or 3B. As for souvenirs, Finland is famous for its design glassware, ceramics, jewellery, and textiles. They can be found effortlessly in shops and department stores such as Stockmann’s.

For those of you intending to stay a few days longer, we would like to recommend a trip to the Estonian capital Tallinn. The fast ships take you there in 2,5 hrs. For those who can stay even longer, a visit to St. Petersburg by train is also an attracting alternative. This, however requires a tourist visa.
