CALL FOR PAPERS

Audit quality has drawn much attention by academics and practitioners in the last few years.

The first workshop on Audit Quality, successfully held in Bocconi in 2006, provided an effective arena for discussing relevant research on the topic.

This second workshop intends to expand the horizon of the debate and to be a unique opportunity for researchers to share their ideas and findings, promoting a multiple research perspectives.

Papers on the following areas are welcome:
- the role of regulation in improving audit quality
- corporate governance systems and their impact on audit quality
- audit quality and ethical standards
- auditor characteristics (independence, reputation, industry specialization) and audit quality
- auditor personal and professional skills as key drivers of audit quality
- audit market structure and audit quality
- audit quality and client pressure
- accounting education and audit quality
- litigation and audit quality
- accelerating audit reporting regimes and audit quality
- measurement of audit quality

TRANSPORT

HOW TO REACH BOCCONI CAMPUS

Arriving from Linate Airport

Take bus 73 or 65 to Piazza 5 giornate, then take tram 9 or 30, get off at Via Bocconi/Viale Bligny.
Taxi rate: around 15-20 €
Public transportation: around 1 €.

Arriving from Malpensa 2000 Airport

Take the Malpensa Shuttle to Stazione Centrale, then Underground line 3 (yellow) direction S. Donato, get off at Porta Romana, then take tram 9 or 30
Take the Malpensa Express to Stazione Cadorna, then Underground line 2 (green) direction Famagosta, get off at Porta Genova, and take tram 29 
It is advisable to catch a train to the center of Milan (around 11 €) and then public transportation (around 1 €) or taxi (from the railway station to the workshop venue the cost is around 15 €).
A taxi from Malpensa to the workshop venue is very expensive (around 90 €).

FEES

The fees include participation to the workshop, the documents, the coffee breaks and lunches, and an evening dinner.

Fees will be posted shortly

Cancellations made before September 7, 2008 will be reimbursed minus 20% of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after that date.
