BACKGROUND

This workshop presents a unique global forum for academic exchange of qualitative and quantitative research in the areas of International Corporate Governance, Strategic Direction and Control of Private, State-Owned Companies as well as Not for Profit Organizations, HR Governance, Responsible Board Leadership and Digital Governance.

Research in all stages (PhD thesis, research in progress, and completed research) is welcomed.

A selection of the best papers will be fast-tracked for submission to an academic journal. More information will be provided on the web site soon.

 

 

CALL FOR PAPERS

This 21st Research Workshop will address the following topics:


Track 1: International Corporate Governance

Including Comparative Governance, Sectoral Governance and Compliance in specific countries. For the 21st workshop there is a special focus on corporate governance in Ireland.

Track 2: Strategic Corporate Governance

Including Owners Strategy, Strategic Board Directives, Board Composition, Board Culture and Board Structure, Internal and External Auditing, Internal Control, Opportunities and Risk Oversight on the Board Level


Track 3: Sustainable Corporate Governance

Including Direction and Control of ESG issues, Integrated Reporting, Nomination, Review, Compensation, Training and Succession Planning of Dual / Unitary Boards


Track 4: Digital Corporate Governance

Including Data Governance, Responsible Technology, AI Governance

 

To present a paper at the workshop, authors should submit a 1-page abstract
by 
30 July 2024 


Abstracts can only be submitted on this web site.
Feedback will be provided by 1 September 2024 at the latest.

All submissions must be in English.

PROMISING RESEARCHER AWARD




The Board Foundation will grant the

“Promising Researcher Award”  

amounting EUR 1000

for the best paper written by a PhD student or a postdoc.

 

JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE

 



 

The Journal of Management and Governance welcomes submissions on topics that are within its Aims and Scope.
A number of papers presented will be selected for a Fast-Track process of publication*.



*The JMG Fast-Track (JMG-FT) review process of publication gives the opportunity of a paper review process quicker than that of an ordinary submission. The selected paper is immediately inserted in the review process without undergoing the first desk-rejection assessment phase. This process is applicable to a maximum of 3 papers presented at the track in which the JMG-FT is accorded. The formula does not guarantee the publication of the submitted paper, which must positively pass the peer-review process.

FEES

The fees include participation to the workshop, access to the papers, lunches, the workshop dinner, morning and afternoon refreshments.

 

   
For participants affiliated with an institution that is member or associate member of the EIASM's
Academic Council
362,85 € (including 67,85 € VAT)
For participants coming from another academic institution 455,10 € (including 85,10 € VAT)

Cancellations made before October 1, 2024 will be reimbursed minus 20% of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after that date.
