In conjunction with the EFA 2017 conference, a one-day Doctoral Tutorial (EFA-DT) is being organised on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, by co-chairs: Frans de Roon (Tilburg University), Esther Eiling (University of Amsterdam), Gyöngyi Lóránth (University of Vienna), and Kristian Miltersen (Copenhagen Business School) – thanks to the ongoing support of the Nasdaq Educational Foundation (Nasdaq), the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA), and the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). LOCATION: Conference venue, (University of) Mannheim Palace, East Wing, Room O131 – first floor.
The EFA / EIASM Doctoral Tutorial is held in a collaborative, open and friendly atmosphere. The eight selected papers are distributed well in advance to facilitate lively discussions, questions and feedback from student and faculty participants alike. To enhance the collegiality of the Tutorial, participants are expected to be there for the entire session – and are also invited to a welcome supper (sponsored by the Nasdaq Educational Foundation) held the evening before the event. Furthermore, a student whose paper is accepted for the Doctoral Tutorial is also required to serve as a discussant for one of the other papers (and prepare for this in advance). All Doctoral Tutorial student participants receive a certificate of participation – as well as a free pass to the EFA Annual Meeting.
