CALL FOR PAPERS

The European Marketing Academy (EMAC) is organizing the 1st AMA Job market workshop. The goal of this workshop is helping students who are seeking a tenure track position in Marketing to prepare for the 2017 AMA Summer (job market) conference.

The workshop will be held in Groningen, the Netherlands, on May 23, 2017, prior to the EMAC 2017 Annual Conference.

IMPORTANT: the workshop will run in parallel with the doctoral colloquium. This means that students attending the one event cannot attend the other event.

Because places for the workshop are limited, we encourage interested students to apply to the DC as well. Students will be notified of whether they are accepted to the job market workshop before the registration to DC ends.

The purpose of the workshop is to help a selective group PhD students (9 max) to get ready for the AMA job market conference. The workshop focusses primarily on the research presentation the students are expected to make during their interviews at the AMA conference. It will also address several do’s and don’ts of the AMA job market conference.

Student selection criteria:

•    Students  who are seeking a tenure track position in the Summer AMA (job market) 2017 conference held in San Francisco in August 2017

•    Students are coming from schools that have little or no experience with the AMA job market process (as those students will get more value from the workshop)
