The Workshop aims at pulling together the various theoretical and practical strings which characterize the field of Intangibles and Intellectual Capital and discuss its potential future developments. This will be achieved by presenting plenary speeches on, and devoting some sessions to, the main issues and approaches which provide substance to the study of Intangibles and Intellectual Capital.
This year the Workshop aims at exposing examples of business practices related to IC management and reporting and illuminating the relevance of IC in the area of public sector.
In particular, the following areas/topics of the field of Intangibles and Intellectual Capital will be especially addressed:

- Intellectual Capital in the Public Sector
- Stock markets, Business Valuation and IC
- National Economy and IC
- Innovation and IC
In the selection of the works to be presented in the various sessions, priority will be assigned to the papers dealing with more general and interdisciplinary subjects, approaches and methodologies.
The 2015 Athens Workshop promises to be a stimulating intellectual event for the researchers forming the “Academic Intangibles and IC Community”, as well as an occasion from where to launch a rejuvenation and re-thinking process of this multi-faceted and unique field of investigation.

Panel 1: Reflections on integrated reporting: The views of Prepares, Analysts and Auditors
In this panel representatives from companies already publishing Integrated Reports, Big 4 auditors and other stakeholders will discuss their experiences and views on Integrated Reporting.
Panel 2: Public Sector and intellectual capital: Types of intellectual capital assets, disclosure, valuation and reporting
Intangibles in the Public Sector are undoubtedly important. In this panel reputable colleagues will discuss their research results regarding universities and the public administration.
Panel 3: Knowledge intensive companies and Business models: Deviations on a theme
Successful Greek companies which invest in innovation, human capital and customer relations will discuss their business models. Models regarding business ethics will be discussed as well.

In order to get from the airport to the city centre one can take the metro (http://www.stasy.gr/index.php?id=70&L=1). The journey takes about 50 min and the cost is around €10.
How to get to the Workshop Venue by Metro :
In order to get to the workshop venue from the airport you get the Metro (Line 3) from the airport and get off at Ambelokipi stop. Then you can take a taxi (the distance to the hotel is about 2 klm.) If you do not want to use a taxi, you get off at Monastiraki stop, you take metro line 1 (Direction: Kifissia) and you get off at Victoria station (2nd stop). The Athens University of Economics and Business is 5 min walk from the Victoria station.
