AIM

The Eden Advanced Strategic Management Doctoral Seminar is co-organized by INSEAD and IESE and will take place from October 19-23, 2015 in Fontainebleau, France at INSEAD's Europe campus in Fontainebleau, France (just outside Paris).

Internationally renowned scholars in the Management and Strategy field from Europe and North America will teach this intensive week long doctoral seminar. Topics covered in the Seminar will range from formal theoretical modeling to latest empirical methodologies for strategy research, and a particular focus on innovation and competitive dynamics within industries.

The target audience is doctoral students from all over the world, preferably in their second or third year of study who have covered the basic Management and Strategy courses and are actively developing their own research questions in the Strategy field.

The week will consist of lectures, discussions, and presentations and aims at bringing the participants up to speed regarding the state of the art in Strategic Management research.

EVALUATION

Upon successful completion of the seminar (full attendance), the participants will be given a certificate and granted 4 ECTS

APPLICATION PROCESS

Interested doctoral students should register online (and add the required documents) Some places are still available on the course. Please contact Nina Payen - payen@eiasm.beBesides doctoral students, other researchers may participate. The number of participants will be limited to create a stimulating environment. The selection among the applicants will be conducted by the Institute’s Faculty. They will review the following documents which should necessarily complement each application form:

  • the applicant’s curriculum vitae demonstrating his/her capabilities of doing research ;
  • a letter of recommendation of his/her local faculty supporting the application ;
  • a two-page description of his/her doctoral research, indicating the general objectives.

REGISTRATION FEES

PARTICIPATION FEE
The participation fee is 1100 €. This fee includes participation to the seminar, the documents, lunches and one group dinner.

EIASM SCHOLARSHIPS
The Institute offers a substantial reduction of the participation fee per member institution. These scholarships are strictly limited to students coming from an EIASM Institutional (the Academic Council). Allocation of the scholarships is entirely at the discretion of the European Institute.

Cancellations made September 25, 2015 will be reimbursed with 10% deduction of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after this date.

The seminar will be held at the INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France
The programme will start on October 19, 2015 at 09.00 hrs  and is scheduled to end October 23, 2015 at approx 16.00 hrs,

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
You are requested to make your own hotel accommodation.
