    Grazia Santangelo, the Conference Chair and EIBA President-Elect 2007, will organize the EIBA Annual Conference 2007 from 13-15 December in the building of the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Catania.

    The theme of the conference will be “International Business, Local Development and Science-Technology Relationships”.

    Some practical information:

    • The international airport is located 15/20 minutes from the city centre and the faculty.
    • All conference hotels are located in the city centre.
    • There are also several ‘bed & breakfast’ for doctoral students.
    • At the conference venue, all meeting rooms have online facilities.

    The social events will include:

    • a welcome cocktail to be held at the Faculty of Political Science;
    • the Friday dinner to be organised at the Grand Hotel Excelsior;
    • the gala dinner to be held at the Palazzo Biscari.

    The tentative conference tracks are the following:

    Enn Listra, Dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration of the Tallinn University of Technology will organize the 34th Annual EIBA Conference. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Estonia and until the summer 2007 the President of the Estonian Economic Association.

    Organizing partners will be the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Tartu University (Estonia) and Vaasa University (Finland). .

    The tentative conference theme is “Globalising Business – Virtuous Circle of Collaboration”.

    At the time of the conference, the university may have a new building. As it is now, the university is located quite far from the city centre. Therefore the conference is planned to be organised in one of the hotels with the most up-to-date conference facilities in town.
